The album has two new songs, written by Emma, Patrick Mascall and Paul Barry and eight cover songs, being four of them with duets with musicians Robbie Williams, Will Young, Josh Jumra and her husband Jade Jones.
Promotion:
Emma released her comeback single “Baby Please Don’t Stop” on live streaming music video on YouTube on 27 February 2019, and performed it live at The One Show on 5 March. On 23 March, she presented two new songs from the album at an acoustic session at BBC Radio 2, George Harrison’s cover “Here Comes The Sun” and Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell’s cover from “You’re All I Need To Get By” with a duet with husband Jade Jones.
On 2 December 2019, she performed at her Christmas concert, Emma Bunton’s Christmas Party at Royal Albert Hall in London.
Release & Formats:
“My Happy Place” was officially announced on 25 February 2019. The digital international and physical release will be on 12 April 2019. The Standard & Deluxe Editions were available on pre-order on TM Store and Amazon on the same day announced. The deluxe CD is housed inside a 20-page hardback book full of exclusive photos. Exclusive editions from TM Store includes a pink and a blue cassette, a pink gatefold vinyl (announced on 11 March 2019), all with the option to buy in a combo with a exclusive signed photo. A limited edition test pressing vinyl with only 50 copies was also available to buy on TM Store. This limited edition was sold out in a couple of hours, and the vinyl six days later. An exclusive hand signed edition was also released by Amazon UK. The pre order albums it peaked on #3 in the online store on 12 March. Emma signed the albums on 14 March.
