Loving Me Back To Life

“Loving Me Back To Life” is a song from Geri Halliwell from her third studio album

Lyrics:

I’ve been looking for love in all the wrong places
Different names, familiar faces
I’ve watched the moon go through its phases
But now I love myself enough to say

It’s time to let you go
Gotta let my feelings show
Don’t wanna say goodbye, I wanna thank you
For loving me back to life

Do you keep yourself warm with the bridges you’re burning
Another day gone but what are we learning
Thank God for the young, they keep the world turning
To win the war is not to play the game

It’s time to let you go
Gotta let my feelings show
Don’t wanna say goodbye, I wanna thank you
For loving me back to life

Love to live, live to love, let it go
Learn to live, just forgive and we can grow
Love to live, live to love, let it show
Love to live, just forgive and now I know

There’s no gold beyond the rainbow
But everybody needs to dream

It’s time to let you go
Gonna let my feelings show
Don’t wanna say goodbye, I wanna thank you
It’s time to let you go
Gonna let my feelings show
Don’t wanna say goodbye, I wanna thank you
For loving me back to life
For loving me back to life

Background:

“Loving Me Back To Love”, was one of the earliest songs written for the third album. Was written in 2001 by Geri, Ian Masterson, Hannah Robinson. The song is about two important things in her life, the fans, and their unconditional love, and one special personal that shared some healing and identification for some experiences at some time in they life (might be former boyfriend and singer Robbie Williams, that she admitted later saved her life forcing her to get treatment with bulimic when they’re still together, between 2000-2001).

The middle-end of the song (“Love to live, live to love…”) was originally the chorus from a song that she wrote when she was 18, when she was pursuing singing career before the Spice Girls. She said, she intended to record one cover and that original song from her.
