Geri’s 4th Album Project

CURRENTLY ON PAUSE

Since Geri Halliwell left the Spice Girls, she has released 3 solo albums. Her  last released was in 2005 with Passion. In March 2010 vocal coach and singer Carrie Grant announced on ITV1’s The Alan Titchmarsh Show that Halliwell would be making a return to music. In April 2010, Halliwell posted a message on her website, saying she was back in the studio and referring to Lady Gaga as one of her influences. In May 2011, reports suggested Halliwell would be making a return to music. On July 31, 2011 Geri confirmed she had been working on her fourth album, stating “The album’s pretty much finished”. In February 2012, Halliwell announced that the album was being mastered. In October 2012, it was reported that Geri had signed a new seven-album record deal with Universal Music Group, shortly after unveiling new upcoming single, “Phenomenal Woman”, at the Breast Cancer Care Show. In January 2013, it was reported that Halliwell returned to the recording studio, and will release new album Putting On the Bling later in the year. The album appears to be a bit of a departure from Halliwell’s past sound in that it has a more jazz feel to it.

In September 2013, Geri signed with two record companies, one of them being Sony Music Australia. In October she releases the single “Half Of Me”, that failure badly on the charts. On November 2016 a 12 Tracks album has leaked online, and was named after of the tracklist song, Man On The Mountain. Geri described the leak as “disappointing” and was encouraged by her record company to restart the album with new songs. Since them, Geri posted several Instagram photos and videos writing, singing and producing new songs.

In June 2017, Geri released her first international single since “Desire”, a tribute to her long time friend singer George Michael “Angels In Chains” that peaked in #63 on UK Charts.

In September 2017, Geri restarted the composition for her 4th Album with producer Ryan Louder. Louder uploaded the song “Hallelujah” in his website, that was one day later removed to wait for Geri’s official announcement. In July 2018 the producer shared in his official YouTube page three complete songs that he worked with Geri – “Keep On Dreaming”, “Hallehlujah” and “Deeper Love”.

She was the yin to my yang.
She is much cooler than me and our creativity was a great balance. Bluebell had fun playing with her daughters. Meanwhile Amy and I had a blast in ‘the shed’ and wrote three great songs… one I believe is super special, it just flowed out of us.”. They wrote together “If You Love Someone”, “Sweet Spot”, “Yet” and “Life Sucks”. The songs was published by David Platz Music Inc.
